That's less than a coffee. No credit check, no deposit, no awkward conversations. We don't ask what you earn and we don't ask why you need it.
Apply in 2 minutes Approved in 41 regions · 9 out of 10 applicants acceptedWinter is nineteen weeks long. For the other thirty-three you are storing a coat, insuring a coat, and looking at a coat. We think that's a lot to ask of somebody.
A coat you own takes up space. Most of our customers tell us space is the thing they have least of, and a winter coat is the single bulkiest item in a home.
A coat you own goes out of style. Ours are rotated every season, so what arrives at your door is what people are wearing now.
A coat you own is money sitting in a cupboard doing nothing for you. Why tie up eighty or ninety dollars in something you'll use for four months? Keep your money where you can see it.
And when winter ends, it just goes away. You post it back, and that's it. No storage, no moths, no decisions.
We think ownership is a bit overrated, and we think you'll agree once you've tried doing without it.
Most customers are wearing their coat within six days of applying.
Two minutes. Name, address, and the weekly amount you'd like to pay. That's the whole form.
No credit check and no income check. 9 out of 10 applicants are approved, usually the same day.
Your coat arrives in a plain bag. Wear it every day for nineteen weeks — that's what it's for.
A prepaid bag arrives in week 18. Put the coat in it and post it. Done for another year.
Please note: the coat must be returned in the bag provided, in the condition it reached you. Do not clean, wash, dry-clean or alter the garment at any point during the season. See Fees.
Same coat, same season. The only difference is how often you pay.
| Retail value of garment supplied | $38.00 |
| Joining fee (one-off, non-refundable) | $12.00 |
| Weekly payment $4.40 × 19 weeks | $83.60 |
| Garment retained by the customer at the end of the term | None |
| Total payable over the term | $95.60 |
Total payable is 251% of the retail value of the garment. The garment remains the property of Nineteen Weeks at all times and does not transfer to the customer at the end of the term, or at any other time.
*$4.40 is the lowest weekly amount available and applies to garment classes C and D only. Classes A and B are charged at $6.20 and $5.30 per week. Class is assigned at picking and is not selectable. Prices shown exclude the joining fee. "Less than a coffee" is based on a mean regional coffee price of $4.65 and is illustrative. "Cancel any time" means the agreement may be ended at any time; see Fees for what is payable on cancellation. Weekly payments continue for the full nineteen weeks whether or not the garment is worn, is suitable, fits, or has been delivered.
This is the question we get asked most, so here is our process in full.
Every garment is inspected before it is reissued. Returns arrive at our regional facility in week 19 and are logged, inspected and graded by a trained member of staff before they go back into the pool.
Our inspection standard covers closure, seams, lining, fill distribution, zip travel and outer surface. A garment that fails inspection is withdrawn. Our pass rate is 99.4%, which we are very proud of.
Garments are graded A to D on appearance. All four grades go back into the pool. Grade is what sets your weekly price, and it is assigned at picking.
Please do not clean the garment yourself. Washing, dry-cleaning, steaming, treating or deodorising a garment at any point during the season voids the agreement and incurs the replacement charge. This is the single most common cause of a charge on an otherwise fine account, and we would much rather it didn't happen to you.
If a garment reaches you in a condition you are not happy with, contact us within 48 hours and we will note it on your account.

| Charge | When it applies | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Joining fee | On approval. Non-refundable, including if you cancel before delivery. | $12.00 |
| Late return | Per day after the end of week 19. No cap. | $6.00/day |
| Cleaning or alteration | If a garment shows any sign of having been washed, dry-cleaned, steamed, treated or altered. | $140.00 |
| Non-return | If a garment is not received by the end of week 22. | $140.00 |
| Damage beyond inspection standard | At our assessment. Not itemised. | $140.00 |
| Early cancellation | Remaining payments for the season fall due immediately. No refund of payments made. | Balance |
| Early return | Accepted at any time. The season is the unit, so payments continue. | No refund |
The replacement charge of $140.00 reflects the cost of removing a garment from the pool and is not related to the retail value of the garment.
Every garment is inspected to our standard before it is reissued. Our inspection standard is available on request.
We don't hold that information in a form we're able to share.
No. Please see Fees. If a garment genuinely needs attention, contact us and we will note it on your account for the end of the season.
Contact us within 48 hours and we will try to swap it on the next regional pick. Payments continue in the meantime, as the agreement starts at approval rather than at delivery.
No. Garments are not sold to customers under any circumstances and do not leave the pool.
No, never. We don't run a check, we don't ask for payslips and we don't report to anybody. That's the whole point of us.
That depends what you'd buy and how long you'd keep it. The representative example on our prices page sets out the full cost of a season so you can decide for yourself.
